  • $2,500 minimum spending commitment

Your event minimum is a spending commitment, not a separate room rental. Our full menu of cocktails, beer, wine, spell kits and food as well as off menu cocktails and pours count toward it. Merchandise such as tee shirts, tarot decks, stickers and hats are not included. If your guests spend less than the agreed minimum, the minimum still applies. Any purchases above the minimum are added to your final bill. The 22% service charge and applicable tax are additional.

What We Offer

Craft cocktails, nonalcoholic drinks, beer, wine, self guided spell kits and our menu of bar snacks.
Our menu changes seasonally three times a year, however, we always have 6 spell cocktails including NA options, 8 house cocktails, 13 spells, and a selections of beer, wine, and NA beverages. Additionally, our entire selection of liquor is available for individual pours and off menu cocktails.

Can we bring our own caterer or food?

No. Food and drinks for private events are selected from The Black Salt’s available offerings. We do not host outside catering, food trucks or outside bar service. A cake may be permitted for an additional fee, with prior agreement. We do not offer plates or utensils.

Can we bring a DJ, band or outside entertainment?

No. The Black Salt is intended to be enjoyed as a cocktail and spell experience. We do not host third party entertainment or sound systems during private buyouts. You are allowed to submit a spotify playlist for your event which we can play on our soundsystem.

Can we add a patio tent or other installation?

No. Our spaces are offered as they are. We do not accommodate temporary tents, pop up structures or event installations. Decorations, glitter, or party props are not permitted.

Can we reserve the bar for a smaller group?

As long as you are committed to the booking cost, we are happy to discuss hosting your private event. We do not take reservations or offer small private events in sections of the bar during business hour. During regular public service, groups may visit on a first come basis, with a maximum group size of 12.

Is photography permitted?

Yes! You can hire a photographer and have them attend the event, pending permission. A photographer with a handheld camera and attached lighting is permitted. Large installations or elaborate set ups are not permitted.

Confirming A Booking

Events requests are accepted with a minimum 30 days and maximum 9 months prior to the event date. Once a date is set for your private event, 50% deposit on the total cost is required to hold the reservation. The remaining 50% is due 30 days before your event date. A credit card must be held on file for any additional bar purchases over the agreed booking amount.

Events may be canceled up to 30 days before the event date for no fee. After 30 days a 25% cancelation fee is applied. After 15 days a 50% fee is applied. Cancellations less than 5 days before the event are non-refundable.
